Don't just blame the internet, there's lots of crappy software out there that millions of us are forced to use for one reason or another. There's a nice little dent in the drywall next to my desk at work due to a late night program crash. It's a monument to crappy software/internet design everywhere.
This would be a great feature!!! I hate driving by tight spots and wasting time wondering if I can fit or not.
yeah, the iPod IS bloated with extra buttons, like pause. sheesh.
Ford should act fast; lobotomize Mercury (ala Saturn) and fill with euro products!

Remember the last Escort refresh lasted less than 2 years before it was killed for the Focus. Let's hope the "new" old US Focus will be a similar stop-gap model.
Reminds me a little of the first gen Lexus IS.... Still kind of ugly, tho. Maybe it will be better in person.
I think people are more interested in seeing it parallel park. If you can't pull into a perpendicular spot, you shouldn't be driving.
The REAL cdma PEBL is out there, let's just hope it's dropped sometime this decade.... http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2006/09/30/motorola-readying-another-pebl-like-phone-for-cdma/
RT has it right, LR2 is NOT a re-badged Escape at all. The interior is actually quite nice, but I think the confusion comes about from the overly plastic-y (somewhat Explorer inspired) front end. Perhaps that will be spiffed up in a refresh.

A test drive will be the real test, and Autoweek seems impressed. The price may be a bit steep, but I guess it's a question of taste at the end of the day.
Looks like it's perfect for prisons...
Base Cayman EPA est. fuel econ: 32mpg highway, 23mpg city.

2.7 L H6 @ 245 HP, definitely not bad.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
