"Looks like Vietnam is the new place to be for early device leaks."

Maybe because manufacturers are moving from China to Vietnam because of cheaper labour there?
Love those bizarre hacks. Seriosly. Go guys! o/
China, like Europe and Africa, uses GSM on 900 and 1800 (yes, the 1710-1755 range) MHz.
+1 for the "letter" format: it was fun and enjoyable to read
Where's quad-band 3G?

From the Google translation:

Support frequency: 3G: WCDMA (internal users may use the upcoming opening of 5.17 Unicom's WCDMA network, in most countries abroad, can be used), 2G: GSM-850/900/1800/1900 MHz, available to any country in the world.

According to the GSM Association, China Unicom uses 3G2100: http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_cn.shtml

Hesse should have used more colorful words. I really miss the "CE Oh-No he Didn't" on Engadget.
Please INQ, a QWERTY keyboard for the Twitter phone. Even a SureType one would be great. Thanks.
Is there lulz and zombies on one of the photographs Engadget-Joystick team took from Playstation Home presentation?

So... GO PLAYSTATION HOME GO!
OK. Let me do something productive and somebody please call me when Sony launches the slimmer PS3 and the PSP Go! :D
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
