This thing is like the zzzphone, i just got mine in the mail, it's a piece of crap. Nothing works.
New Phone!
Yo add gmail by adding it as an email acount, windows mobile has the gmail pop3 settings in it.
I ran it, it's very beta, you can switch back to WM5 using the flash on samsungs website. My only issue with it is that it doesn't include the internet sharing application which made it really convenient to connect to the internet, otherwise it's better at key input, slightly better address book and windows mobile office (which you can get for wm5)... A lot of minor improvements/bugs also.
This thing has a purpose and it's probably not for end users. Purpose leads to design sometimes. This is probably used in a library or hospital...
That thing looks like Sony Ericsson T610 series with the mac os wall paper. If it's not nicer than the SLVR it will fail.
The speakerphone function is available on all windows smart phones all you do is press the talk button during a conversation and it turns it on and off. You have to read the manual to know about it though.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
