Here's an update -- I've been getting most of the messages on my Hero from my gmail and google domains email accounts, but, despite multiple uncheckings of the Delete from Server option, Outlook is now failing to pull messages from the google servers that i've already read on the Hero. They show up in gmail but never get to outlook. Never had these problems with my Blackberry. Still like the device, but these problems are frustrating.
Just got a brand new one. Very nice phone in many ways. Sense is pretty cool and should make checking emails from the home screen very easy (you can flip through pages in a useful and entertaining way) -- but the phone is missing emails, so that's a potential deal killer. My company uses google domains, and I use gmail personally, so this is doubly frustrating because the built-in (non-upgradable, as far as I can tell) gmail client only registers with one gmail account -- so you can't sync/push more than one gmail or google domain account. So stupid to blow an advantage like this.

Anyway, I do like the phone so I hope they fix this quickly.
Is ATT going to pick these up, anyone know? Thx.

re: #15

it all comes down to vzw not wanting to share the revenue stream.

as far as i know, no wireless, telecom or cable carrier in any sector has been willing to share a portion of its subscriptions.

they'll give up a one-time spiff to a marketing partner or sales affiliate, but i've never heard of anybody sharing a take of the ongoing revenue streams.

if anyone knows of when a service provider did share a portion of subscriptions, i'd love to hear the details.

thx.

"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
