I'm kind of surprised that Digital Cameras as a general rule these days come with so little on-board memory.

I'm sure that the extra couple of dollars helps their margins and gives their retail partners an easy upsell but throwing 4-8 gigs of onboard memory seems like it would add very minimal cost, allow slightly smaller and sturdy builds.

I know it doesn't make much sense for Digital SLRs but throwing 8GB of built-in memory, a non-removable Li-Polymer battery and a micro-usb port for charging/syncing would offering the consumer a compellingly smaller, more convenient camera and between and the manufacture a small build cost.

That's not really fair to those of us with MobileBroadband accounts who only get 5GB for $60 a month. Obviously I would be happier if they sold me the same 5GB for $30 a month since I have never gone over but at very least they should give us 10GB for $60 plan.

So, it's exactly like my Sony VAIO P, except more expensive and bigger with a lower resolution screen? I'll stick with my VAIO P.

Considering it has more or less then same specs as the P and larger I don't understand why it costs more.

My VAIO P has an Atom chip and 2GB of RAM.

I really don't see the exclusivity ending until LTE rolls out nationwide. Really, who are the options for this to go to? Sprint? Hah. Verizon, maybe but that would require developing a completely different iPhone from the rest of the world just for Verizon. I think that would require a significant commitment from Verizon which they don't seem inclined to do at all. That leaves T-Mobile, but, again, that would require a significant redesign of the wireless portions to access T-Mobile's at this time small 3G network.

Sure, AT&T's relationship with Apple seems rocky but AT&T's footprint and frequencies allow them to easily manage one iPhone design that they can ship worldwide which can't be underestimated from a cost and management standpoint.

That said as far as other product lines go I don't think the same case holds true, when Apple starts offering integrated WWAN in their laptops (Which in my opinion is way overdue) or launches a new product line like the mythical tablet I think Verizon has a very good shot but as far as the iPhone goes I think it's going to be AT&T until LTE.

I spent that much as more than this player cost at the bar this weekend and I get all my blu-ray disks from Netflix, if I get a year of of Netflix streaming and blu-ray rentals from it I will consider it a deal.

Hmm... I've been contemplating getting either a Roku box or a blu-ray player with Netflix for my bedroom. That coupon is real, I just printed it out. $100 for a Blu-ray player with Netflix is a compelling deal. Hopefully some reviews will come out pretty soon saying it doesn't suck and I swing by latter this week and pick one up.

Is it really that big of a deal? Anyone who really wants it has it through the RC program and the RC will far exceed the time needed to acquire the retail copy.

Don't get me wrong, I am running the RC on my computer and have a pre-order for the upgrade, it's a great upgrade but it's not like there should be people just dying to get their hands on a copy at this point.
