I think the rant-scene was just a plot-device to air some of the h8 mail levied against Family Guy, especially the attitudes espoused by the Brian character (voiced by Seth himself). It was Seth giving a little back, showing that he can take it as well as he gives it. Cool.
Alot of these criticisms are fair, but I still choose to look deeper into the show's premise, I still like how they force us to examine what's important in our lives, in society, without being told what to believe. This show still makes me think and sparks deep discussions, even though it's lost its shiny topcoat. Maybe you'll enjoy it more if you look beyond its outward silliness.
"I loved you and I loved Chase. I'm sorry for you both, for all you've become, because there's no way back for either of you." Really? Life just isn't black and white like that.

Keep in mind, Jane, that the characters are simply representations of various attitudes in our society, and in Allison Cameron's case, that character is a representation of those who are straight-arrows, lives by ethics, and see the world in black/white, right/wrong, left/right, etc. So give "the character" a break :-)
Allison, seriously, everyone HATES these pop-ups, it'd have been alot better post for you to tell us who at the networks to contact to protest this practice. They're the ones permitting this intrusion and we need a coordinated effort to protest it so it'll stop instead of, as it now is, getting worse.
I really, really like this show, it's entertaining on so many levels, they really did a good job in conceiving this type of comedy.
I'll add this since no one else has commented on it ... unlike The Original Series (TOS) this treatment didn't seem really care why 6 resigned. There was a token effort a couple times to elicit that info, but rather, it seems the ultimate point was to retain Michael at Summakor rather than let him resign. And maybe this is a commentary on employer-employee relations of today, especially in the professional business environment with its emphasis on employee satisfaction and retention.
Cool, I checked out after the pilot, got that one right.
Agreed, Annie Wu is way off base. Usually SNL wastes 80 of their 90 minutes, but this one was actually watchable all the way through! I really liked her singing monologue, and the "Really?!" sketch on Weekend Update. Decent showing.
Yeh, too harsh, Allison, geez, lighten up. You're trying to exert control over the show even though you're not a writer or producer for it! Just chill out and enjoy the damn thing like the rest of us. And please, don't review any more eps if you're already biased against it. Thanks.
I too figured them for nanites, or nanomachines but I was just waiting for them to go Replicator. Remember how the "sand" was starting to take the shape of Johansen's face ? That's something the more evolved Replicators were doing. Anyway, just keep that in your back pocket.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
