It would almost have to, to be truly useful, which I believe is the reason for the "how much damage (if any) that touchscreen sensor does to readability" comment.
Sweet, a Mako.
Because S60 is a flavor of Symbian, actually a user interface, much like the idea of a Linux (or *nix, if you want) distribution. There's UIQ, now basically dead, S40, found on lower-end phones by Nokia and others, as well as S90, S80... To further complicate things, there are feature-packs and resolution issues, as well as other hardware concerns between different models, and different version of the operating system itself.

With the switch to QT, I think Symbian will become very competitive in the smartphone space, no matter how you define "smartphone".
My 6650 fold is even more solid than my orginal MOTO RAZR, and that's saying a lot.
This uses almost as much energy as my sun dial.
Another poorly researched Engadget story... This "brochure" was nearly the entirety of the 3DV website back when they showed at CES. Way to take an interest.
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1's. A little bassy for my taste, and a little loud, but decent.
Finally somewhere to offload those re-furbed DIVX players!
OP Brian, don't you mean that you wonder if your EU Overlords will ever allow such a device to be sold / imported into the UK? I mean, a device that plays music, surfs the web, and has games...that's a monopoly!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
