A low - to mid range flip phone??? No way... Actualy, a rather medium - to high range. This phone is packed with features: 1.3Mpixel camera with 8x zoom, 32MB int and expandable ext memory, hands-free, MP3 player, bluetooth, GPRS,..., name it it has it. The only thing that slightly puts it down is that it only has 65k screen and not a 256k or 262K one. The spec sheet isn't decent enough: it's great! Many of its much more "ilustrious" competitors have, for example, VGA 0.3Mpix cameras with 4x zoom. And a black and white ext screen, not a 256 colour like this one. Be carefull, we're talking flip phone here. There is only 1 3G phone in this category, and only a couple with a 2Mpixel camera, and these and only these are clearly superior to the my501C, in the "high range". All in all, this is actualy a high range flip phone and, IF priced competitively, it is bound to be the star of its category. Unless, of course, people get turned off by it being a "Sagem" and not a "Motorola", "SonyEricsson", "Samsung", or some other "ilustrious" big name.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
