Could not agree more. I've been saying the same thing about the show since season 4. There were some decent episodes in the beginning of season 5, and then right around "Michael Scott Paper Company," Dwight's character totally changed to this mean-spirited and calculating guy out to get Michael and be a jerk to everyone. And, to that point, the wedding episode that everyone loves so much featured Dwight hooking up with a girl and then being a huge d-bag after. This is not the same Dwight from "Cocktails" or "Product Recall."

But now all of a sudden in this episode, Dwight is the ill-informed sycophant again and wants to protect Michael. Huh? I don't get it.
I LOVE this commercial. But if I had to nitpick at something, it would be the hackjob they did on LaMontagne's classic. I get they have to cut it somewhat, but a couple of the transitions sound bad. Might just be because I've heard the song so many times.
I'll always remember the premiere of MJ's "Black or White" which premiered right after an episode of the Simpsons entitled "Saturdays of Thunder."
How about the 10 seconds of American Idol logo during the Black Eyed Peas performance? http://tinyurl.com/oszosu
Pretty good episode overall, although I can't recall any real laugh out loud moments.

I'd just like to add that I've thoroughly enjoyed the episode recaps every week. I look forward to it on Fridays.

Hands down the funniest segment all season was Kevin's opener with the chili. I haven't laughed that hard all season!
I commented at the beginning of the episode how it's always the smug, no-chance-it's-me types like Tyson that get popped in the end. And then, sure enough. If you don't think you're going home, that probably means you're the one on the chopping block.

This show never gets old!
I do not want to win this phone.

(Reverse psychology)
The DVR cut off Adam's performance, but we enjoyed watching an episode of American Idol without him!
Sometimes I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. What is it with people's fascination with Adam? That had to be one of the most excruciating performances I've ever seen on Idol. At least you could laugh at how bad Sanjaya was. Ring of Fire was practically unwatchable.

I also wanted to punch him in the face when he acted so disrespectfully towards Randy Travis and made his little comment about not planning on visiting Nashville anytime soon. What a bad attitude.
Great first episode. I was really hoping this season would be in HD.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
