I'm not saying that they are no good games on the PSP. They are a lot of good games but they were released in 2005 and 2006. 2007 has been a disaster for the PSP software-wise.
Hi Merc25,

I indeed think that the PSP number looks good, I just think that this pspfanboy story is off. Who cares about a 100% increase compare to October? What matters is the increase compared to last year.

I think the lack of new releases this holiday season is the result of the poor psp sales last year. Hopefully, the publishers are seeing the better sale numbers and next year will be better software-wise.

On Lego Star Wars, the Complete Saga was meant for systems that didn't get Lego Star Wars I, the PS2 did get LSWI. The PSP is the only system that didn't get LSWI and is not getting LSW:CS this year.

If you go to Gamespot and click on "New releases" and check out the weeks in November, you'll clearly see how little has been released on the PSP this year.
100% increase over last month is nothing interesting: all the consoles sales increased by at least 100% compare to last month. What would be interesting is how much it increased compare to November 2006.

Anybody noticed how poor the software line up for the PSP is this holiday season compare to 2006 and 2005. Even EA stop releasing the new Need for Speed (Pro Street) on the PSP. Lego Star Wars didn't make it this year on the PSP either. Doesn't seem like there is any noteworthy first-party release to be excited about either.

I hope the spike in sales will make game publisher interested in the PSP again.
The funny thing is that Vivendi tried to get read of its game division (Sierra-Blizzard) a few years back but couldn't find a buyer.
Indeed, the stake of Vivendi in NBC Universal is barely 20%, the remaining 80% belonging to GE.

There's some wrong information on Vivendi in the podcast. Vivendi do not own NBC Universal. Actually, Vivendi sold Universal Studios to NBC when the company was in financial trouble a few years ago. Vivendi still own Universal Music however.
Tor Thorsen had to change the author from his name to Staff because of a huge amount of hate mail.
Weird! The author of the article was changed from Tor Thorsen to Staff!

I guess that was probably because clicking on "Tor Thorsen" was bringing you to the honest blog post I was mentioning. What the hell is GS doing?
Check out the blog entry of the author of the article on the process of writing that article:

"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
