I hope I can view these Comcast On Demand via Boxee. Just need somebody to write a little app/script for Boxee and it should be good... If it can happen for Netflix and Hulu, I'm hoping it can happen with this. If it does, I just might switch back to Comcast from RCN.
The DeathAdder drivers have an option to turn off the LED, I'm assuming these do too. Doesn't matter to me though, no thumb buttons, no sale.
I love Steam, but $60 for a DIGITAL copy? Come on! Not even a sale either... Why not just get the $40 packaged copy from Amazon? Or maybe match all other PC games at $50?

I'm gonna venture a guess and say it's Activision's decision on Steam's price...?
You have to click on the "college requires a domain" link at the college student website. This will show up Professional instead of Home Premium.
Too bad after the free play weekend UT is going to go back to hardcore players, whom you may be able to glimpse at if your player stays alive for more than a couple seconds on the same map.
Buzz me when they add online co-op. I can't believe they left that out...
I think people (like me) just got spoiled by Team Fortress 2, tons of updates and new content... for free! We were expecting the same for Left4Dead.

I think for online games this is more serious, just because when a game gets old or a sequel for it comes out, the number of people playing declines, and the remaining numbers still playing are extremely good at it, the casual player has nowhere to go unless he pays for the new release as well.

Now if Left4Dead2 could still play with Left4Dead1 players, for old maps (or maps created with the SDK), that would be great. I wouldn't even want new content for L4D1 as long as the player base was there. I'll probably still fork over the cash for L4D2 eventually, when there's another Steam sale.
I bought UT2k3 later in its "cycle" cause it was cheap. Turned out that the only people left playing were pretty much the best... so I could barely even get one kill in per map.

Won't be doing the same with UT3. Plus if I want Unreal Engine action, I've got Killing Floor on Steam.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
