I agree a new way to sell cars could fundamentally alter how GM is seen, probably for the better. Though if you recall, Saturn was a non negotiable price brand and that was not enough to save it.

However, the sales side is not the problem at GM, their infrastructure can move product, they've been 1st or 2nd in sales for awhile. It's not sales #s that are the problems its their costs they need to get those under control before they can make money.

The first insight was only 2 door. This seems to be the successor to that car.

As stated there, its for all vehicles with a GVWR up to 10,000 lbs. The Heaviest Silverado the 3500HD Dooley WT is: 11400.00 lbs (http://www.chevrolet.com/vehicles/2009/silverado3500hd/features.do?styleIds=301406^301407^301408^301409^301410^301411&tab=tabHighlights) is exempt from CAFE, however the cheaper 1500 starts around 6800.00 lbs so they would be included.

Long story short, not ALL trucks are included in CAFE, but from the looks of it, MOST are.

Actually dispite Austin's small downtown, and being in Texas its probably a solid idea to pilot there. Less risk that NYC, and residents of Austin are more like residents of San Francisco than those of Dallas, San Antonio or Houston.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
