I had the HD TIVO from D*, and moved to the HR20 to get locals. Compared to the Tivo, the HR 20 is an embarassing nightmare. Fastforwarding and rewinding is best described at innacurate. The flash of a snowy screen when switching to and from HD to SD channels is just amateurish. The box is slow, Finally, there is no way to restrict keyword searches to channels you receive. For example, I have a star wars key word search, but I do not have cinemax. This morning, I had the 6 star wars movies cinemax showed last night saved to my DVR, unable to watch, taking up space.

If it wasnt for the NFL sunday ticket, I would be working to shorten my comitment, and get away from D* as soon as possible. Since I am a sports fan, and D* has an exclusive license with the NFL, I am stuck.

I've been a D* customer since 2001, and I feel the product quality has seriously declined since News Corp purchased the company.
