The mistake was that he typed cow in the first place. If he'd typed "dog" he'd have used every letter in the alphabet, which is the point of typing that particular phrase. Using "cow" instead of "dog" omits "g."
I just installed it on my e71. It's right where the article said it should be.
Unless I'm missing something, Newegg is selling the black version of this netbook, identical specs, for $349 with free shipping. Nice of Lenovo to drop the price, though.
They're probably just anticipating the continued downturn of the U.S. economy. Just wait a few weeks and the exchange rate will have that costing $1 million U.S. :-(
The Nokia e71. You'll need to purchase it unlocked for around $350 or $400, but it's the thinnest smartphone available (I think) at 10mm, 3MP camera (although the pic quality seems a little less ... a quick google search will show you what I'm talking about), WiFi, 3G, QWERTY. With its metal construction, it looks classy and feels great in the hand.

A lot of people will discount it right away because it's running a Symbian OS, but I've had really great luck with it. I've found it to be functional in every way I use the phone, and in two months I haven't had to reboot the phone or had to deal with it rebooting itself. And with Mail for Exchange, I've got push (or push-like ... immediate, in any case) e-mail and wireless syncing with my Exchange server. I couldn't be happier with the device.

Oh, and you can use it with AT&T's MEdia Net for $15 / month.
I find it really interesting that Iran has more downloads than most countries, including Canada and China (separately, not combined).
$15 per month over the life of a two-year contract is $360, which is quite a lot of money. I paid a little under $400 for an e61 when it was first released and I'm still using it, although I'll be the first to admit the keyboard is atrocious and it's pretty sluggish. I'd pay $500 for a thinner device that remedies the issues of it's e61 predecessor, especially if it'd save me $360 in monthly data usage over two years. Potentially more than that if have an older unlimited (data) Blackberry plan that you can use with Blackberry Connect.

Comparing the e71 to the iPhone is like comparing apples and poodles, anyway. The iPhone isn't a great smartphone, whereas the e61 (and hopefully e71) beat Palm's offerings any day of the week with regard to durability and call quality (and in my opinion, the S60 OS is preferably to Garnet and WinMo < 6.0). HTC's newer devices and the X1 look compelling though.
I rarely post inflammatory comments (I rarely post at all, actually), but what are you talking about?? A quick Google search will yield a dozen links to sites (with no affiliation to Weblogs, Inc.) referencing AT&T's 8120 with WiFi, not GPS. And how are you going to argue with someone who can actually see the device on their premier site. (I can see it too, by the way.)
I, for one, have absolutely no interest in anything that Microsoft is doing with USB drives, until they fix Vista so that I can work from files on my USB drive without the OS irrevocably deleting them.
I want this so very badly.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
