My god the front part of the 9100 looks ugly as sin, I had an env 9900 and I thought it looked a lot better than this thing. Good news for the internal QWERTY pad but the front looks so basic. Those music and clear buttons above the send end button look touch sensitive though. I wouldn't buy it, maybe that new slider though
My push yahoo mail on my Verizon pearl isn't working either... any ideas on how long this problem could last?
The in store reps are a joke, at least the ones around me. They're dumber than a box of rocks. They don't know half the crap of the features of the phones that they offer. I've had to correct them many times while in the store inquiring about a device or making a purchase. Talk to the manager of your store or do it online.
Well if verizon follows through with this, will that mean they'll be switching to GSM? or what? Does anyone know if it means any phone that meets their standards or strictly any CDMA phones or what.. This is great news but I don't really know how it would all go down... Anyone out there know anything about this or have a hunch about it..?
if i recall that isn't the reason why verizon didn't agree to the iPhone, I thought it was because of how much percent of sales apple wanted in their pockets and because they didn't want the phone problems to go to the apple stores.
So Verizon is getting the Pearl or some version of the Pearl? That's amazing. I've been waiting a long time for them to hopefully release the Pearl. Quarter 4 is a while away but it would be worth the wait. I hope it has EVDO, I'm sure it would.
This is a pretty cool phone with the dual sides
The Wing is sweet lookin, Keep up the good work Engadget.
The Ocean seems like a pretty sweet phone, Helio does have some cool phones all in all.
It's about time that Verizon got this plan, So I'm on a family plan, I'm the secondary line so what does that mean to me? How much do I pay for the unlimited messaging and does it include the primary line with the unlimited messaging plan or do i have to have two messaging plans for each line or does one cover it all?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
