I remember we were Alpha testing Search 20 years ago before the Internet as we know it existed. It was some crazy ahead of it's time technology. We used printed diagrams and would put our search queries in the mailbox and then get the results by mail. I'll show you some top secret photos we took:

Engadget confuses me sometimes. If the phone has s60 "OMFGWTFBBQ it R s0 h@rd 2 uze nd outdaterd". If it has Maemo "It R pretty but OMFGWTF M8T it can't haz mainstream iPhone pplz, 2 much quirkz". SO judging by this, you guys probably think they should buy Palm or something and use web OS until Memo is ready for the "masses"? Personally, I prefer advanced functionality, control and rock solid stability over an over the top Gui.

I couldn't of put it better myself. I can't wait to get my N900 and do all kinds of 1337 sorcery. The only thing this phone is missing is a laser that goes pew pew pew that you can use to shoot iPhones.

I think the future is "Smart Phones". Big Media is trying desperately to get people away from the internet and back on the tube and magazines with all these small innovations and novelties. All we need is wireless hdmi standard on TV's and handsets. We just use the phone's built in capabilities and output it to the T.V. I think once you start blurring the line between T.V and computer you ultimately start getting into territory that begs for electronics (desktop, nettop, notebook, mobile phone, MID, videogame consoles or what have you) with full fledged operating systems to take over. Instead of these futile attempts to increase profits and sales in a saturated flat screen T.V market by charging more for these new so called "must have features" they should focus on making the display technology better. I don't want an app store for my tv too. I already We already have laptops,desktops, and phones that have software and widgets. I want a cheap really thin 52 inch display with wireless hdmi and excellent picture quality that will last a long time and can handle videogames without ghosting. Perhaps a slot for memory cards and DVR functionality. I don't want to pay for any of that extra shit that will be more features that can break the T.V.

Hey if it keeps crime down and keeps people from going out and doing reckless things then I don't care. Rather have them being at home and doing it virtually.

I just can't understand this. Take a failed phone and make it smaller and then sell it more or less the same price as the original? They are supposed to be innovating and hashing out Maemo based snap dragons with keyboards at least 4 inch displays, OLED, hardware graphics acceleration, and xenon flash for god sakes if they want to remain competitive.
