wow, are you dense or what? i said assuming a normal distribution in *asterisks*, which would imply mean = median. common sense and no proof that IQ doesn't follow a Guasian distribution, eh? check out the figure in wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IQ). i even mentioned the skewness on the implied distribution would be weird. you probably know stats too (and a thing or too about Gini Coefficients), but i recommend you go get Reader Rabbit for your Mac before you post any more of your silly comments.
*assuming IQ is normally distributed*
wow, would you please go look up the definition of the word "average". how can 98% of people be below average? the skewness on that distribution would be quite interesting. generally speaking, approx. 50% of people are below average and 50% are above. All you've done is show you're in that "98%"
I have the phone; got it on Nov 21... of course it'd be cool if it had a million more features like everyone wants, but it's still pretty nice. It's fun surfin' the web on it and watching VCAST video is addictive.
to lajerk:
i have this phone (just got it yesterday)...
don't know about "themes" or the GPS/VZNav questions you have but...
unfortunately IMs do count as text messages and max you can get is 2500/mo for $20. (they should give us unlimited for $20/mo, c'mon!)
Hey guys... belive it or not I bought this thing yesterday (Nov 21). Hella slick =) me likey (but then again, i'm the easily-amused type). I bought the cable too, and it isn't working with BitPim yet =\
Can someone tell me how this phone compares to the T-Mobile Sidekick?
Sidekick is only $60/mo for basic voice, and unlimited internet(real web browsing)/IM/txt.
Seems like VZW charges $15/mo for VCAST, which is only mobile web, and you still need a txt package to do txtmsgs and IM... so it's a lot more expensive monthly.
How is this phone better than a sidekick? How crappy is VZW's VCAST Vpak/Mobile Web 2.0 vs. Sidekick's normal web browsing? (Or will the 9900 have true web browsing too?)
Also, in terms of montly pricing, a Sidekick is clearly a better deal.
600mins/month ($40) + ulimited internet/txt/IM ($20) = $60/mo.
Verizon: 450min/mo ($40) + unlimited internet ($15) + 1000 txt/IM ($15) = $70/mo

Right?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
