Ok, lets see, when I did a side by side on the storm vs g1 the g1 was faster to load up webpages, the g1 also would go to the non mobile version of a website where the storm would not. There are so many things wrong with that list it's obvious that the person who wrote it has never seen a g1 other than online. I haven't purchased from amazon yet but still have mp3 files on my phone, so that's not a limit. The phone is so much more responsive than any touch screen device verizon has out right now. Looks like they are worried people will like it more than their phones.
I bought it, and didn't have a sidekick, never had one. I'm upgrading from a winmo device.
The phone is 1xrtt only, spec sheet shows vcast with rhapsody subscription and pc downloads just like the juke. So no vcast on the phone. Strange a phone wouldn't include 3g data but would be centered as a music phone.
still no support for browsing using a proxy huh? If only they would include that this browser would really rock.
They have updated it now so it's not saying it's 1gb any longer and it's also not guaranteed your usage will restricted.
"To provide the best network experience for all of our customers we may temporarily reduce data throughput for a small fraction of customers who use a disproportionate amount of bandwidth. Your data session, plan, or service may be suspended, terminated, or restricted for significant roaming or if you use your service in a way that interferes with our network or ability to provide quality service to other users. Some devices require specific data plans; if you do not have the right plan for your device, you may not be able to use data services. Additional charges may apply. Domestic use only."
If you see the $299 price it means you aren't eligible for an upgrade yet most likely. The site says you can get it AS LOW AS $179, which is with your upgrade discount.
wow, so I guess you missed the part on the post where he said it was a mobile email launch list. And the phrase at device launch followed by a date or a timeframe doesn't mean that's when the device launches. Strange!
I would like an iphone, I think.
I need to replace my dash! Wing please!
I need a new phone!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
