There are a TON of companies out there that get devices way early so they can develop for them. So, yes it could very, very easily be real, just not ethical or in line with the NDA he may have signed. He most likely stole it from his company or whatever. How nice.
Sounds like 1.3 million is pretty successful. Just not as good as Verizon....BFD.
3g? Uh, you hear of Sprint or Verizon? Both have had EVDO BB's for quite some time now.
One thing that Blackberries certainly need to work on though, is the fact that they are no good as cell phones, poor signal etc. They were obviously designed for email first and calling second, no doubts about it. So in that regard, Palm AND Windows have them beat.
the reason why there is and will be "HD Lite" is that they like to make the most money on the least amount bandwidth used with the least amount of effort possible. pretty much how most corporations operate unfortunately. Beyond that, they might have capacity for 150 hd channels or whatever the claim is, there is not even close to that many channels yet, and won't be for some time.
well, for whatever reason no one is posting about the same article over on mobile. I just followed the thread really.
I can't tell you how many phones come out weekly, and I hardly hear word one about the other carriers crap-azz handsets. either cover all the handsets fairly, or not at all.

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
