drool. want.

but is it me, or does the video look like a late-90's version of a bad lcd? color's all off, looks drab and screen is tiny.

glad i didn't pull the trigger on a kindle. or kindle 2. or kindle dx

also...pixel qi....where are u?
i'm still waiting for the showwx laser one...

all these 1st gen projectors are getting a little long in the tooth. where's the next gen? dell's mini projector is nice, but just not quite there yet....
the claws are coming out! but i agree. switch to a mac.

and then install windows 7 on it.
wow. that's pretty damn cool. too bad they're ugly. :( but hey 1st attempt right?
bought this on dealextreme a while back. i totally recommend it. uses 2 aa or usb connection for power. it is really loud for the size. works great with my iphone. also has its own volume buttons.
It looks like it can make calls too? WTF? an e-reader phone? Seems like a cool idea though....

Some other options -

-Put a thumbpad where the buttons are so you can actually type out full messages.
-Leave the phone part completely out, and have it tether to a phone via bluetooth for the same Kindle online features.
-Leave the phone part completely out, and have it tether to a phone via bluetooth to act as a giant external display/ebook reader passing the image through the phone (ala RedFly - WindowsMobile)

This would also make it a good amount cheaper, since you don't need an EVDO modem (ala $40 kindle part) and you don't need extra service. They just need to make the software compatible.

I can dream, can't I?
so how much would it cost me to cancel my contract after a month if I didn't want the service?
wow. i am speechless. i want.
i agree. it's like they're making reasons not to get it, but if it had that one extra feature, it would be no question.

my excuse is that i already have an acer aspire one. but the specs are perfect, especially with that higher res screen option. everything that i had made a checklist for about a year and a 1/2 ago.

now if only the microscopic UMID mbook had specs like those....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
