nice guys never win stuff : (
It is truly sad that when the avg comsumer walks into a big box store and told by close-to-minumum-wage-earning salespeople about the latest and greaterst 480Hz and 960Hz and 5,363Hz LCD's, he's automatically sold.

I bought me some KURO plasma during the fire sale after Pioneer announced the death of the line and am constantly asked by friends and relatives why my picture looks so good. They tell me that they weren't even aware Pioneer MADE HDTVs.... sad.
My hands are the size of dinner plates and my index finger often presses both buttons on a mouse because it is so wide. I have trouble urinating and suffer from migraines.
I have no problem typing on the Pre's keyboard.
FUlly AgrEE! Amazon is worse than Microsoft when it comes to advertizing.
Don't any of you guys who read Engadget read EngadgetHD?? "Plasma burn-in"??? It's not 2002. Current plasmas have no permanent burn-in issues. Static game console images that are on your screen for hours on end are retained for a short period of time, but barely perceptible initially and then wash out soon after you switch to TV viewing with moving images. I think an LCD's lack of shadow detail is far more annoying than the temporary static image retention inherent with plasma.

Stop perpetuating the "burn-in" myth. It was true several years ago, but is not true anymore. Plasmas have advanced greatly and LCD's are years away from possibly surpassing them. If you are in the market to purchase an HD set now, you will not do better than a plasma.
the people that will buy this will be Sprint customers. the ones that have stayed with Sprint b/c of the great deals/negotiations you can have with their retention dept. and their better-than-ATT 3G network. (Sprint is also poised to be the first carrier to come out with a 4G network) this will be the phone to get for Sprint smartphone customers who aren't super die-hard WM fanboys

The US Founding Fathers gave it's citizenry the right to bear arms NOT to protect itself against a burglar entering through your bedroom window, but to protect itself against it's own government. They -the founding fathers- viewed the concept of a nation where only the government/military has arms as a system too dangerous and too prone to use it's military against it's own people. To assume that all you need is a government-controlled well armed military to protect you ignores all threats to freedom from within.

@Britain

After Germany finished bombing most of your islands airfields you were pretty much finished. Your transition to night-time air raids over Germany was to little affect other than reducing your air looses. Without the MASSIVE influx of new American supplies given to the Allied powers including thousands of vehicles to Stalin, Germany would have held most of it's occupied territories for decades and Stalin and the commies would have ended up in the Urals killing each other in droves.

Not to mention how America's continued isolationism would have provided Germany just a little more time to develop the nuclear technology they were very close to acquiring.

You guys would have been more than screwed without us, but you keep believing it's our Hollywood movies telling us so if it makes you feel better thinking Brittan could have gone it alone and saved Europe "eventually".
@ Adam

Fully agree Adam,
A population without guns is just waiting for the next invasion.
"get" probably thinks the EU will stop the next invasion LOL !
or maybe the UN ! ROFL!!!

@ get

If Putin and the Russians ever truly go nuts and invade Eastern Europe, bringing them to Poland's border with thousands of tanks and troops, there's only one force on the planet Earth that could and would stop them. Those idiot American gun loving psychopaths.

There would be no Poland without the Americans. But maybe you're one of those Sieg-Heil loving Polish skin head bastards who would have preferred a Hitler victory.
Lighten UP Forrest! Gheesh. Hard news is so boring. The main reason I come to Engadget is to get a little laugh/chuckle while catching up up new tech.
Keep doing what you're doing Engadget, you're my "The Daily Show" of tech news and I love you for it!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
