There's a lot more detail on All About N-Gage about this story - they're the ones that broke it, the BBC's story is just a summary.

Incidentally, the EULA says "Content shall be... limited to one private installation on one N-Gage compatible Nokia device only", I can't see anything saying "forever", so it doesn't appear to preclude transfer.

That's a US page, the N73 and N93 aren't "coming soon" in Europe, they've been in the shops and pockets for months.
And the N95's product page says Q1 - http://www.nokia.com/nseries/index.html?lang=en&country=R1#product,n95

My money says Q1 for Europe/RoW and Q2 for the US, after all it's gonna take Cingular some time to take all the goodness out...
That's Ewan on the left, not sure who the guy on the right is. Harry Enfield perhaps in his "loadsa money" guise?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
