Same here...

I've used MS Office 2007 (Mainly Word) and have found that I liked the ribbon....

Here's the catch - if you're a regular user of the old "tried and true" method - and have used it forever and a day... the transition will be tough. The longer you've used the old way, the harder the transition.

If you're not that used to the old way - the transition will be easy for you, and in fact - if you're new to MS Word or Office, period - it will be easier for you to learn with the ribbon.
Will this work with gizmo like gv will?

I never completed getting a number for grandcentral, so am still locked out of gv. :(

I'd love to be making free calls.
I was going to mention boomshine also...

But there's also "Chain Rxn" on Facebook.

I prefer Boomshine - no "lifes" - better, more soothing music and sound, and more colorful. :)
Now if they would just make conversational threading an OPTION...
Remember that "expensive ass data plan" is the same "expensive ass data plan" as any smartphone on AT&T. Blackberry? Same. Windows Mobile? Same. Palm? Yep - Same.
Still slightly better than mobileme.

Syncs text messages. MobileMe doesn't.
Free. MobileMe isn't.

However - I noted that synchronization is everynight or manually. MobileMe isn't. MobileMe is right when you change.
You're still a ding-dong!
FCC ID Search turns up nothing...
With the exception of a few things - I'd have to agree with this article.

Keyboard - I don't need it. I like the keyboard. A good accessory or add on should be available though. One with a keyboard would be good too - but Apple doesn't and didn't make phones exclusively. They are new to the market, and it's entirely possible it could happen yet. Doubtful, but possible. (Though texting while doing other things is difficult. A Good Voice to SMS program would be good.)

Form Factor - I like iPhone's form factor. In Fact - Love it. Simple, clean, easy, and a good fit. No change needed.

Gmail? Just because Google has a different style than everyone else - doesn't mean Apple has to make it just like it. Apple has 3rd party development. Google is a competitor. Google has developers. Let THEM design an app to do gmail right.

Does that claim mean that G1 should have complete and full interoperability with MobileMe? What's good for the goose is good for the gander!
Gizmodo = iPhone Fans
Engadget? Yeah, Not so much.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
