Right, but will it continue to work after the month is up and you dont pay?
Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you still have to maintain the prepaid account to use the phone? Or was this just some corporate bs to have it? Rergardless, why have an iphone if you dont activate it? If you activate a prepaid sim and change it to your postpaid.. you need to reregister the device.
Regardless of where you buy it, you still have to activate service for 2 years to even use it.
My store personally added about 60 new subscribers today with the iphone alone.
What is the "flagship" store in L.A.?
I work for AT&T and can confirm that this phone will not have MMS.
Dual band? no thanks.
AT&T subscribers: if you find your hold time is longer than it should be just remember there is probably a whiny man with cheap speakers tying up the line.
with sleazy tactics like that, it's no wonder the churn is low. red is a communist color though, isn't it?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
