This is a good step forward for GIMP and other open source programs. Hopefully the next version of the portable version will be based on this version as well.

I am primarily a Windows user and enjoy some GNU/Linux based programs because of their small footprint and use of less resources.

Yep, this economy sucks. That's why I need a pair of usb drives so that I can scan and store all my important documents to have with me when the SHTF, or when it's TEOTWAWKI. The pen drives need to be shiny C-3PO and R2-D2 versions so that I can differentiate them from all the others. And so that the FEMA relief workers are left in awe by my Star Wars Mimoco awesomenes!

slycooper, you're right. Sony has poorly implemented the PSN Store on the PSP. It seems all the efforts as of late just fall short too often. It's as if all they want to do is develop new features just to say "we have that thingamajig too" but they don't really do anything further with it.

As an owner of 2 Motorola A1200 "MING" phones (mine and wife's), I'm not all that impressed. Why do they call it a unique design when Motorola has it in 3 other phones: A1200, A1600, A1800?

You are correct. Converting the actuall price isn't easy because of the taxes.

About Brazil's 3G networks, I wouldn't say they're way ahead of AT&T in the US. Consider the physical span of the AT&T network. Rephrased in stereotypical American rhetoric: "Our country is much bigger than yours!".

I do think this Q11 looks funny with the screen not centered.

Can somebody make a touch screen UI that isn't so fucking dark I can't see it well while outside and in the sun? I hate all these dark UIs!!!

"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
