This thing has been 'right around the corner' for the last year. Now it's just undergone a huge re-design. I am totally looking forward to it, but as far as availability, I'll believe it when I see it.
Hmmmm, the things you could do if this system is not properly secured >:)
"one funky proprietary OS"??? The Sharp NetWalker runs Ubuntu 9.04 for ARM chips. How is that a "funky proprietary OS"? You can download the source code for free and programs and commands are just a google search away and will be the same as the ones that people have already been using for 4 years on their Ubuntu laptops and desktops.....
Yeah that's what I want to know! I've got 10.5.6 running on an AMD proc, but not with this easy method. Took me almost 17 OS installs to get it running with sound and wireless working
That is an insanely cool mod! I am not normally a tree-hugging hippy type person, but that is a really cramped space and I do feel kinda bad for the fishies...even if he is able to feed them somehow.....
Would really love to have this baby!
I have wanted one of these forever!
Let consumers spend the stimulus money, that will help the economy!
Do you engadget editors just copy and paste those specs from other stories, or do you actually type them for each netbook story? :) I would just copy and paste it
I know! I hate that! Pull the battery out, then you still have to connect it to the charger to make it work again!!! So annoying!
;)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
