I'm not a fan of this administration, I do like engadget though.
DirecTV's PC tuner (HDPC-20) is real!

Too bad it was never released. :(
I am glad to see companies like Tesla making cars that people want, dispite the fact that our government is printing money right into the hands of the "Big 3". Thats not how capitalism is supposed to work... Tesla would be growing even faster if the playing field were level. I live in Michigan, I don't want the economy to get worse, I know that job losses hurt, and nobody wants to take pay cuts, but Detroit is out of control! If the banks aren't willing to loan the auto's more, why should the U.S. Tax payers! Its a bad deal. Government needs to realize that someone will fill the gap, and they should leave it alone.
I suspect that we will be able to hack our way through the Cable Labs requirement of certified hardware. As long as the PCIE cards are available to purchase, software can be bent to our advantage.
From what I have heard from insiders at Alltel, the Q will support tethered data access. and for only $25 per month. and $39.99 per month for Unlimited Handset data, Tethered Data, and Office Sync. YES! Cant wait to eBay my pocket pc! The Q cant come soon enough for me, I hope my anticipation for it doesn't leave me let down.
Q looks real nice. I am awaiting a release for Alltel. I use a V3C, and a PPC6700. My PPC6700 has too much, Its too large, and WIFI is not even important with EVDO, and Office Sync. Personally I can't wait for the Q. I often use my ppc for printing important email, that might be the only thing i will miss.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
