I've owned the Sonim XP1 since it was released.
It's survived rain and frequent droppage perfectly.
I'm looking forward to the same ruggedness in a fuller featured unit.
Just got back from my service provider. The 'phone is not quad band, but GSM 900/1800. Unfortunately my provider is GSM 1900, so I'm stuck with a funky looking calculator!
Anyone wanna buy a new 'phone?LOL
Mine arrived yesterday! Not as bad as I expected. Looks OK, but a bit 'fake'.
Can't get it to work, despite the GSM 900/1800 claims.I'm going to drop in to my provider today to see if they can work it out. The only real problem is that the manual is in chinese. Does anyone know where I can find one in english?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
