I am deeply disturbed by this article, especially the title and some of the comments, i doubt i will be reading any of your posts again.

I can understand you running this article as it id news and needs to be covered, i can even understand the pissed off users and their comments, but your title is fuelling their fire, and i never thought of TUAW as the site that needs to sensationalise a story to get readers. Well done

I have no sympathy for the early adopters, so the price dropped, we all knew it would eventually happen, and besides being an early adopter meant YOU HAD the iPhone BEFORE others. Deal with it or don't be an early adopter.

It's expensive if you buy it without a contract, but O2 customers will be able to get it free on contracts, so no big deal there.

It looks like something out of Japan, and i really love the fact that O2 are breaking the mould and coming up with some really cool handset designs as well as their new UI

I don't understand this Qualcomm bashing really i don't.
Qualcomm charges people for using their technology? so what? Isn't that how business works, they develop a technology (or buy a company that has technology they want) and then charges others for using it, makes perfect business sense.

Nokia is the evil on in this case! why does the whole world have to give into sub-standard products (nokia) just because they are the giants in the market. I personally think Nokia should go back to being a lumber-mill, and if they insist on using Qualcomm's IP then they should be prepared to pay for it.

As for the Media Flo comment above. yeah it is true QCOM own it but at the same time it's superior to DVB-H as it supports multiple formats on the same device rather than forcing the world to use Nokia standards, so that nokia can then impose their rule and their anti-competative ways.
