Anyone tried writing on paper with their finger?

Come on..logically using a stylus to write is a more natural extention to using a pen on paper. Fingers are good for buttons but not writing with, unless you stick to a keyboard only.
Many programs do not have their own notification function built in and many choose to use Growl rather than reinventing the wheel.

If I jump onto a Mac without Growl installed it's noticeable and I miss it.
That's hysterical, scarey and quite quite alarming!

What's the wooping, claping and false happiness for? Has the staff seen the products they are championing?
Lotus Symphony is usually top of my install list.
Skype,
Pidgin,
Opera
.

Another Blackberry that looks exactly the same as the last one, and the one before that, and the one before that.

A very conseravative design group.
Or you could just use Yahoo!'s help page and do it yourself.
I have been using POP on Yahoo! for as long as I can recall. Never paid any extra for the option.

Probably worth considering also that netbooks have lost sight of their original objective. Linux would be and was fine for web browsing, email etc. Not much to learn. Netbooks now have become small notebooks. Very little difference. When the desire is to install apps and use more non-net apps, then the OS makes a difference and the familiarity with Windows demands it.
>>What stops someone in the UK from ordering off an American website? Isn't the whole point of the internet to get around these barriers?

You still have the pay the VAT when the product enters the EU so it isn't always a good deal.

My own opinion is why can't companies like HP and Dell offer their machines with AND without an OS? If I can't have my flavour of Linux preinstalled I would rather not buy a copy of Windows with my machine just to remove it.
The screen res problem is the fault of Microsoft once again. They have dictated that XP is only available to manufactuers to install to machines if the screen res does not exceed the common netbook size.

Of course has they stuck with Linux and not sheepishly did what M$ demands then anything is possible. However customers like the familar XP environment, for good or ill, and thus in one swoop Redmond has cripped the screen res on netbooks until they get fast enough for Vista/Windows 7.
MVNO's have thrived in the UK with every supermarket, Virgin, electricity and gas companies, etc. all having a service alongside those provided by the telephone dealers like BT, CarphoneWarehouse etc. There are 5 network providers here but many times that providers. Indeed there are options from some companies to make your own MVNO.

I don't understand why an MVNO business model should fail. All one needs to do is cover the costs of the line rental, advertising and normal business costs and taxes and all else is easy.

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
