I would really like for you to send me #16. The Olympia Soundbug. You see....I like in a place that is absolutely FULL of flat surfaces. I'm sort of a minimalist and I can't bear to clutter up my living space with big clunky speakers. When I saw the Olympia Soundbug I KNEW it was just the thing for me. Because I don't have any speakers in my minimalist apartment that is full of flat surfaces, I can't share all the wonderfull tunes I have stored on my MP3 player, if you gave me the Olympia Soundbug, I could finally share my tunes out loud with all my minimalist friends! C'mon guys, help me out :) Thanks!
True indeed....Well, I guess I didn't consider it a cripple. More like a hurdle really. The hack to enable it was pretty simple. But now with the new update, the hack isn't necessary at all. So WiFi is actually NOT crippled anymore if you update.
Ummm... WiFi is NOT crippled on the Verizon phone...What the heck are you talking about???
meh...
My old Audiovox 9900 had dual color displays too...
Boooo to you Sascha for not at least ALUDING to the fact that there are simple workarounds to enabling the "features" that Verizon disabled..... I'd imagine that the majority of the PC Mag audience is just as sharp as the Engadget crowd and deserved a better assessment than you provided. I could understand bashing Verizon for their pricing structure, but the XV-6700 is just as Capable of the PPC-6700. I'm currently taking FULL advantage of the same features that my Sprint counterparts are enjoying and my Pocket PC is not hosed. In addition, I enjoy EVDO service in more locations than my Sprint counterparts so I rarely NEED to use Wi-Fi anyway. I think the Verizon XV-6700 deserves another more informative review from you.
Can someone say AOpen??
Ok. Am I the only one that notices that thing looks mighty similar to the new AOpen small form factors??
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
