When I switched to AT&T, I signed no agreement at all because federal law requires them to not give you a contract if you do not take a subsidized handset. There is obviously no point of a 2 year contract unless your taking an iPhone for $99 instead of $499.

It is a federal law passed last year by the FCC, that is the only reason I switched to AT&T, I already had a 3G smartphone. Also- when I decided to grab an iPhone 3G four months later, it was considered my first phone so it was normal new customer pricing cuz I never had a contract before.

Your best luck is to move to a postpaid, sell your iPhone and buy a 3G for $99 or the 3Gs for $199, make a little money in the process and get a new product if you so wish. AT&T needs to be held responsible for this kinda stuff though, they get away with it way too often. FEDERAL INVESTIGATION!!!
you using exchange activesync? im using exchange kerio and keep getting a message in my email saying it hasn't been downloaded. I was wondering if that is just me because of kerio not exchange outlook.

thanks!!!
In California, Apple extends your warranty for whatever amount of time/days they are working on your computer or ipod. It's a state law here =P
To replace my Treo 680...
If they are coming out with a new iPod tomorrow, this is gonna suck. I don't got the damn money right now, Im still working on my desktop and laptop setup.

I want a new iPod but not yet!!!!!!
I might consider switching from Palm OS to Windows Mobile if it was on a Treo and a GSM network. Lets not forget Wifi and more storage.
Didnt work for me.
I just bought the 2005FP for under $400 from Dell. I don't see anything new thats worth $200 more. Someone point out something that would want me to upgrade, because the look makes it take up more space based on the stand. It also looks unbalanced.
Why would Apple go Analog. GSM is worldwide, one unit for one world.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
