If your device isn't 4G then NO it will NOT get faster on a 4G network. You need to have a 4G capable device.
Running Windows 7 Ultimate RTM on a Acer Aspire One bought from AT&T. My only problem is getting the damn Qualcomm Gobi drivers loaded! So I can't use my WWAN card that's built in. Other than that, it's a great little platform.
What are you guys making such a fuss over a developer demo?!!!! This guy is showing you a REFERENCE of what Intel WOULD like to do! The menu is just to get the thing going. This was done by ONE guy at Intel. Don't you guys think that if they go ahead with it, they would put a TEAM of developers on this? Stop jumping to and screaming, just to be jumping and screaming. GEEEZZZZZZ
Yeah it's a pretty useless ploy by AT&T! Also, right now Premier customers can't use it. At least not yet. Why would I want to jump my plan up to the $80 plan plus $9.99 for an additional line when I have all of these rollover minutes? Now if they count the data/messaging plans, I'm all over it!
Why run 64 bit if you only have 2GB? You need 64-bit on Windows to address more than 3GB of RAM. But even if you do run 64-bit OSX or Windows you won't have any lag because RAM in this instance has nothing to do with it.
I canceled my order on Amazon and ordered through Apple for $9.95 since I have the June 09 MBP 15". I don't care what anyone says, an OS upgrade at $10 is worth it! I also an running VMWare Fusion with Win 7 Pro RTM. I hope it works! That's how I manage my Lotus Domino servers and BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Now I wish VMWare would come out with a Mac version of VirtualCenter so I can manage my VMWare ESX servers.
TIP: DON'T CHEW GUM WHILE VIDEO TAPING!!! Thanks for the post though. But the smacking is annoying.
I think it's a neat idea and would buy one these for my 8 year old before a normal netbook.
not fast enough!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
