wow, no snarky comments of any kind on a recall post? oh wait, its a GM recall. now if it was a (insert Japanese brand here) then that would be another story.
oh, and i'll agree its not the prettiest SUV out there... but i don't know thats the reason why people buy these. maybe escalades and navigators (although the new one is horrific) but the land cruiser still has a certain cache in other parts of the world. remember, the U.S. is not the land cruiser's only market.
actually i have a feeling this car (as opposed to other luxobarges) is targeted more towards developing countries, who have plenty of buyers for these types of cars. when traveling in el salvador, i always see plenty of land cruisers (and toyotas, period). if you ask me, land cruisers overall get a lot more off-road action than other similarly priced and sized SUVs.
regardless of what the results of this study are, i don't think it'll affect the lending industry much. just another one of those study that kinda make you go "hmm, never would've thought".
every single time there is an article similar to this, you always post the same thing. are you HOPING for some domestic bashing, or what?
are you sure that's not what your mom said when you popped out?
john, nobody uses the phrase "aw, snap!" anymore. please stop embarrassing yourself by repeatedly using this phrase on your posts.
im sure toyota will do fine with or without your purchase of "several hundred trucks"

now GM or Ford on the other hand...they probably kiss your a$$ for a truck or two, so maybe thats why you support them so much. or is it because those darn japanese are "ruining the economy" or some bullshit idea like that?

personally, i never knew canadians were so pro-GM!
you're a freaking idiot...im surprised fools like you have internet access
this post proves how many ignorant idiots visit this blog..

any dissenting post is met with "well, go to cuba, you communist" or some such response.

sounds to me like a lot of you are confused about what a communist is.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
