Funny enough, the BlackBerry Facebook app eliminates these issues. Instead of getting an email you get a Facebook notification that you can act on right away (accept friend requests, see wall posts, etc). You can also update your status directly. Here's a good overview: http://www.blakebrannon.com/2007/10/31/blackberry-facebook-app-the-game-changes-again/

I guess everyone forgot that BlackBerry exists with the iPhone around.
Wow, Microsoft would virtually be in bed with the University of Waterloo considering RIM is right beside the university.

(Background: Microsoft paid Waterloo to make their profs teach C# in computer/electrical engineering classes. And Microsoft hires a lot of students from Waterloo).
I get the feeling you never actually looked at the curve - surprisingly, one of its major praises is that has a fantastic media player. BlackBerry is typically known as a business product, but lately I've seen teens toting a BlackBerry Pearl. Strange eh?
huh?
um...where's the download link?
"Don't get me wrong, $500 is a chunk, but is it really THAT bad?"

Funny how the tables turn when we're not talking about the PS3.

Anyways, all-in-one devices typically tend to be "jack of all trads, master of none"...let's see how Apple fares.
lmao "Can You Hear Me Now?"
Every phone does a lot of stuff besides making phone calls so every phone is a smartphone.

Personally I think it's a multimedia device with a phone attached whereas something like the pearl is a communication device with media attached.
The WhiteBerry Pearl.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
