Slightly different opinion here. While it's a shame they're going under (I own a Nabaztag/tag). Their customer service was terrible and the whole setup was pretty clunky and suffered from so many issues. God knows how someone that wasn't tech savvy was supposed to use their Nabaztag! Also, on a personal note, I've been without my Nabaztag/tag for a good six months or so. And all of my e-mails to them have gone totally unnoticed,
While it's a shame when anybody loses their company, I can see the reasons why.

PS Engadget, can we have a picture of the bunny instead of the filing? Seems a little more upbeat!
Does this mean Stephen Hawking will soon be announcing my iPhone playlists?
Sweet!

What did you manage to pick pocket from him??
Don't quote me on it but....
It doesn't appear to be reloading web pages when you tab between open pages!
It now holds the last viewed page in the memory!!!

I like them apples....
I have a feeling this is some 02 genius that has woken up to the advertising and hype that this announcment will bring!

"But it's negative news?! We can't announce this?"
"But watch what happens, trust me!"

For the record I love my iPhone but it's been plagued with "Why is it so expensive?" and "Someone said it wasn't 3G, so it's probably not worth it" and my personal favourite... "What??! No MMS? Seriously?"

This will put the phone in the newws and start the drum beat for the approach of the new iPhone mid June (Apparently).

Interestingly I heard through a friend of a friend that the IT backend for 02 is being prepped for a "big influx" end of July.
Staggered launch anyone?
Noooo!

I still have nightmares about the Philips "Savvy"....

I thought they'd given up mobile phones....
This is like bumping into your Ex in the supermarket.
Can someone point me in the direction of a 16Gb iPhone??
Doesn't llok like there's been a UK release!
HIlarious! Engadget should insist that he reviews all future Sony Ericsson models! I love his accent almost as much as I loved my (white) M600i.
Alas I smashed the screen...
From what I understand though (and please correct me) even if you downgrade 1.1.2 to a previous state (1.1.1 or 1.0.2) then you can't "unlock" the phone to use with other networks as anysim, etc don't work on 1.1.2!??
I'm heartbroken. Please continue the good fight whoever you are!
Same boat as you Kiwi-Irwin!
Brand new UK iPhone sat right next to me and not a clue what to do next!
I'm guessing I'm waiting for the pretty GUI...
Anyone have a clue how far this is off?
I want to unlock the phone and use my current sim card!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
