If it's a distro of Linux, why can't it instant-on into Chrome OS, let you check up on news etc and let a more serious, "heavy" OS load in the background (like Ubuntu)?

Once that heavier OS has finished loading, transition Chrome OS into a Chrome browser window inside the heavier OS.

Or provide me with a virtual machine tab.. Let me load up Ubuntu or Windows if i so choose, and make an intermediary folder available by default to save files within the guest OS for access from the host and perhaps insertion into the cloud.

Free food for thought.
...oh right, you guys do have those mobile and HD sites too.

I was thinking for a second that you might be offering the classic layout as an alternative to the new one (if you should so choose), alongside a mobile layout. And of course this is the HD layout.

My mistake.
Exciting. What's the deal with the HQ/Classic/Mobile?
I think that sort of system would work, kinda like how Tmo does it. I just hope that adopting that sort of incentive system won't cause the carriers to start out with exorbitantly high monthly service charges..
it ain't his fault his hair's like that.. he doesn't know any better anyway.
if it's red, please don't throw it away. they end up killing albatrosses who try to eat them.

and we're supposed to care about them, i think... i don't remember.
No Dreamcast?

*faces his unused Dreamcast under the TV* It's alright, I still love ya...
Worked for me on 32-bit Vista. No ISO, but the folder extracted from the two compressed files can be made into a bootable disk.

An extra $12 for a DVD in the mail was a justifiable purchase for me, though, since I'm paranoid. Probably won't be needing it unless my hard drive unexpectedly fubars in the next minu
so who wants to decipher the numbers used for the countdown clock? it's not hard, i'm just lazy.
so that's what it boils down to..
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
