Info from Lg, not "rumors" from sprint biased or anti-sprint people, actually points to a malfunction from the actual hardware. Details on an issue where LG recieved a large amount of defective microphones that were used in the manufacture of a few of their phones, the RUMOR included, so LG stopped distributing them until the malfucntion was corrected. The phone wasnt pulled from the stores, they did just sell out of them. They were all notified that the rumor would be on hold until mid to late january due to the hardware issues. Not to say the firmware wasnt needed, but it did not affect as many of the phones as some recent articles have meant you to believe. The Black rumor was never flagged, just the white one. One of the local stores near me just recieved a small amount of black rumors for sale. The lack of stock on the Black rumor was just due to more than estimated sales. The white rumor was the on on the assembly line affected by the microphone malfunction
There is a nother link on the f300 specific here for pics

The pics at this link are almost exact. The model i played with didnt slit at the bottom though. And everything is improved on this phone. every application has been either made better or faster. The only thing i didnt get to test that i have a question about is texting...and how it works. Other than that...this is a dream phone.

Other facts you'd like to know about this phone, is what it includes and what it comes with. The battery is internal. And the esn sticker, peels off, so there may be a delay until they have a way to keep track of the phones essentially.
But there is a nifty little case that comes with it. The phone kinda of "docks" into the bottom, and the case closes, or flips, to cover both sides of the phone. The aspect that is bad ass about the case, it has a battery built in. Was told the battery built into the leather case, makes the mp3 last up to 16hrs. Not sure on how long it will extend the phone talk time, but plenty. And that is kind of nice, given the built in battery is only 2.5hrs talk time. Too long a comment, point blank and serious. This is an amazing phone. And i'm buying one lol
the 510 and the flipper, are amazing phones. On the 510, mix the pebble from tmobile, with the m500 already out. doesnt have that click flip to it, but that kind of roundness to it, with some similar contours of the m500. I saw it tested in red and black, but probably wont come out in that color he said. Will come out in with a blue exterior and a silver exterior, and both models will have black interior. the keypad is almost exactly like the key pad on the 610, the new slip flip phone on sprint. The one I saw, was with the extended battery, and was still quite stylish and slim. the menus area little bit differant, but much nicer, improved themes. And a minor note that made me disgustingly happy, if you know samsungs, when you go to contacts, and want to jump to a name, its a two second pause. That has been eliminated to less than a sec. Beautiful. My comments on the flipper i bleieve will be a second entry after this.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
