I'm just waiting for my new iLife software to be delivered; but from what I've seen, I won't be 'upgrading' from iMovie HD. It seems to have lost the key features that make iMovie easy to use, but none-the-less flexible.
Exactly. Apart from the talk capability, if you're just after using your existing set of h/phones, shave down the adaptor so it will fit, or find a spare part connector and whip out the soldering iron.

That Belkin thing is disgusting!

(Not an iPhone user until it gets to the UK!)
Where is the dig at MS? It just relates the technology to surface, that's all. No dig there.
I checked out the link though- made me chuckle lots- not because of the dig at MS but because of the pointlessness of some implementations of technology.
It always seems bizarre to me that people question getting 'surround sound' from any less than four speakers with a pair of cans.

You only have two ears so your brain is quite capable of calculating where a sound is coming from from only two sources. Anyone who has listened to a binaural recording will know how accurately your brain can position a sound when presented with a source from a pair only.

Its all to do with phase and frequency content and nothing to do with how many speakers you stuff into each cup.
When is someone going to do something like this for bicycles? (Probably something to do with not encouraging people to listen to music whilst on the road.) Or maybe I could get my horse in two pairs of Nikes and see how I get on there...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
