Agreed, but I feel like we aren't in the majority here..
BRING IT TO AMERICA!!! This thing is so incredibly sensuous and just great looking. If the reliability isn't as terrible as everyone makes it out to be then it will definitely find a home here.

Any idea where the USD price range would be?
I was about to say the same thing - why make it even larger? If you want more space in the rear seat that is what the 5-series is for, but i guess the new 5 series is the old 7 series and the new 7 is extended so something has to fill the old 5 series' place in the line up. I suppose the new 1-series will be about the same size as the old 3-series...

In a way - it makes sense that the ( I am basing this on what I have seen ) high volume seller be able to comfortably fit 4 adults. However, I hope this does not come at a loss in sporting driving or increased weight of the car. Who knows, everyone seems to be keeping weight down, or at least in check, these days.
I own a palm pre and Web OS is fantastic in so many ways that palm doesn't market, or even attempt to market, which boggles my mind. Their advertisements hardly even talk about the device in most which confuses me even more.

I hope this update increases the speed and reliability of the music player. Also: Has anyone had trouble with the headphone jack causing problems? Mine seems to be lose or something...
You aren't looking at it from the correct perspective if you think the 599 compairs at all with the Veyron. They may both be GTs but the Bugatti is engineered to such incredibly high standards, reliability, and performance that the Ferrari is more closely related to a fiesta than a Veyron. There is not a single compromise in the car, and if you have ever seen one in person you can instantly tell how flipping amazing these beauties are in just about every day.

Put another way: I don't remember the first time I saw a 599 drive by, but I will always remember having one of the drivers in Gumball last year take me into the private garage the owner had parked in for that leg of the journey and showing me the Veyron. Maybe you don't think it is special anymore, but you should respect the fact that it is superior to almost every car built, ever, in its engineering.
The first thing I thought when I looked at the photos was "sure it can go faster, but this thing is hideous compared to the Veyron". The Veyron is essentially the perfect car: luxurious, gorgeous, unique, and fast. It seems like most of the competitors for the title of "worlds fastest production car" are only a couple of those are once, never all of them.
I know they have terrible reliability and don't drive nearly as well as they should, but damn are Alfas gorgeous. They have really grown on me since I first started seeing them online/through top gear a few years ago (shame on me for thinking they were ugly). I would love to have Fiat bring Alfa Romeo here for christmas - the best present ever.
IT BURNS IT BURNS!

While not Aztec ugly, it certainly is no where close to the Aston Martin's we have grown to know and love...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
