"I'm not saying apple needs to promote my app. I am saying that the app store is the only place most people go to get apps (except for us geeks) so if Apple doesn't, no one will. Also, in the music industry, there has always been a good place to get great indie music: college radio stations and indie cd stores."

Not to discount the problems you've faced, but isn't your analogy more like this-
App store:Best Buy as Web Sites for Geeks:Indy Record Stores

I don't think most indy music bands make money either.
This is a relevant point, but with the limited real estate on an iPod Touch/iPhone screen you need to be REALLY careful about putting ads in a paid app.

Just as relevant is competition, and what others are offering for free w/ ads. I'm not indignant about this, but I doubt I will ever buy this.
I installed that beta on my MBP with Leopard, and had no problems syncing with my Pearl. Of course YMMV, I'm just happy I sync'ed all my contacts and now will wait for the official release before syncing again.
The DS has none- iPod Touch wins!
Now there's almost nothing separating the new Nano from the iPhone...
It's a Universal app (according to 'get info')
skyring already mentioned this, but it bears repeating. The Panasonic GF1/G1/GH1 have DRAMATICALLY better AF than the EP1, and a much better LCD with EVF option.
It's a 1.6x crop. I also found the name '7D' to be confusing as I thought it would be a 5D successor. But this seems to slot between the 5D and the 50D.
I guess the right term would be to say it can 'decode' some 720p and 1080p videos. Whether it will ever be able to output 720/1080 video through the dock to an external screen remains to be seen...
I think the main benefit of this app is not to control your computer, but to give you quick access to special keyboard combination commands in apps such as Photoshop, Final Cut, etc. For general use it would not seem as useful, unless you have problems remembering Command-C and Command-P. ;-)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
