I have no data to support this, its just a theory, but maybe its the comments that let the internet stories down.
you can't pick up a magazine, or paper and read other people's opinions straight away, you have to wait for a letter to the editor in the next or following issues.
and you're sure not going to see,:
racist, sexist, biogoted, stupid comments, or people correct ing someone's spelling or grammar, because they think if i'm correcting him i must be smarter....

with regards to the actual article, hilarious, i would have laughed had i been there, but i wouldn't have organised it.
yeah, its stupid, but it is Jackass funny...
First link crashes both firefox and ie8 :(
i see nothing that can't be done with an alarm/remote start kit
and maybe a mash up so it looks like the ipod does something.
No camels were hurt in the makeing.........
They also list the batteries in the rav4's as NiMh

i laughed till i stopped
Yup, i distincly remember that one time, when i was on acid i got my zippo out ans lit water. worked well, then,

Shame it doesn't when you're not trippin'...

(on a semi related side note)
Have you ever seen those 'dohickers' you put in you intake pipe just behind the filter that "causes the air to spin"
all the way thru the intake, and then thru the injectores to spin the air in the chamber???

Yeah, that'll work too, maybe that and HydroAssist will do wonders...

/me goes to eBay
Er, no, I think if Gorr's leader offers koolaid, or a trip on a ship, the offer should definately be taken up...

also in regards to the hydrogen argument, i beleive some recent discovery/breakthru, i heard of somewhere, will help, still not free, and still at an obvious energy cost, but notably less energy / $ required to produce H2, cant remember where/when, look it up i guess....
answer - NO

you do realise that your phone has speakers in it?
and that speakers run by the use of magnets

and that you can pick up around 4 paper clips with a modern smartphone.

i doubt a magnet by the lens (which is usually where all the antennas are, (the other end of the phone from all the drives/cards) would really matter
Awesome, half size mice are bloody stupid to start with, my boss has one and evry time i have to show him how to do somthing i miss the buttons and click the desk

This is just ridiculous
dont like it.
where does the rider sit?
i see a smooth shell around a bike with nowhere for a rider to tuck in out of the wind, hit 200 on that and you'd be ripped right off it
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
