isn't this feature still dependant on 3G coverage? so you can do it on AT&T...if you have 3G coverage that works...
and verizon commercial is specific to 3G...coverage and availability. Devices...nothing to do with 3g coverg. apps? that's mostly one phone, nothing to do with 3g. talk & surf...okay..but I don't think that's a big player, but they can have that.

and fastest is based on theoretical. I know in many places they are faster...but in many, they aren't. it's week at best. VZW can say and be clear "we cover that spot, you don't".

the AT&T add seems more misleading than VZW.
Rest assured, this is why I only use a trash-80 for all my technology needs. Nothing says reliable like green CRT.
maybe this time...
5 kids, no xbox...please for the love of all that is....send it to me!
Yah...what they said.
I would truly make use of this. truly!
and people stand in line for an Apple iPhone on AT&T's network...why? I sadly have to admit that I really do want an iPhone, but I'm not willing to leave Verizon for it. But even still, if it ever did come to Verizon (on LTE...please?) I'm not sure the device would ever be worth it.

Apple is just a pain in the...well...you get the point.
Hasn't this topic been beaten to death? Doesn't AT&T impose a similar cap? I know sprint used to...but they are hurting for customers and I think their data is a bright spot, so they might not...anyway...

The limit of that cap is exactly the reason you can bet most average users don't come near that. Companies set the cap to prevent the outliers from sucking up all the bandwidth. If that was an average usage for people, then 5GB would be rediculous. But considering that most customers are simple mobile users, not downloading their backed up collection of dvd's to their mobile, I would wager that most people don't even know there is a cap.

Only hard-core users looking to move big data would notice. And I'm sure that's the minority. And that's who they aim to shut down.
Did Verizon screw users on the memory again? instead of 512, it's only 256? Did I read that right?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
