This is where Apple's bet on intel, compunded by Boot Camp, gets interesting. If Quark and Photoshop don't run faster under OSX than Windows, Apple OS is pretty much over for any business use (not that it had much). If the software cos decide that writing OSX versions is a huge money sink to create slower code, and that Mac owners can run the Windows version, game over.
So, every time you're channel surfing and land on an ad, you have to stop and wait for that ad (and any that follow it) to finish and the program to resume, before you can switch to another channel. Really, really smart.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
