I would love to score a free copy of Left4Dead 2.
Interestingly enough, I rebooted my phone this morning and received 6 text messages I had missed from over the last few days. I chalked it up to either Sprint craziness or an oddity in Handcent SMS (which I'm using instead of the stock messaging app due to the battery issue).

I did have a taskkiller installed at one point but took it off when I was going through the whole troubleshooting battery life problem.
Sorry, meant to clarify that I'm also on a SERO plan.
@Ogdenous

Weird, I've spoken with 2 separate sales reps at Sprint over the last couple of weeks and both have said that I WILL be able to stay on my plan.

I guess I'll find out Sunday.

Those ordering today, you won't get your phones till next week, right? Why go that route instead of walking into a store Sunday morning and walk out with a phone that day?
Hopefully Sprint will bring the pink as an option in October. My wife is planning on joining me in my HTC Hero adventures and she currently owns the pink Centro. This seems like a natural evolution for her. I think I'll go with the white (despite the ipod white phase issue noted above) as I'm interested in the teflon coating.

Bring on October already!
My Mogul is approaching end of life (battery lasts about 3 hours if I don't use it, about an hour if I make a phone call). Needless to say, the Hero can't come fast enough.
All of my music is on (and most of my movies have been ripped to) my home server. I don't want to have to transfer stuff to another machine so 320GB doesn't bother me so much. As long as this thing can stream from my home server and isn't too terribly expensive, I may give it a go.
What's to stop AT&T from intercepting the SMS messages is this (Quoted from Mashable):

“We present techniques which allow a researcher to inject SMS messages into iPhone, AndroidAndroid, and Windows Mobile devices. This method does not use the carrier and so is free (and invisible to the carrier).“

Check the last sentence.

This would be perfect in our kitchen as a recipe finder/movie & music streamer/Grocery list keeper.

Global Economy solution? That starts in each one of us. I have a long rant about it but this is not the place.
I read in the comments of the Gizmodo review that using a Class 6 SDHC card improves some of the lagginess. Something to do with the Hero using the SD card for the swap file.

I'd love to hear some feedback on this from the Engadget folks.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
