i would love to try helio. too bad they only have two-year contracts.
would getting the company "on track" include offering one year contracts (instead of two) and closing the call center staffed by 14 year old girls?
can't you just imagine some marketing genius pushing for this hideous color? ugh, the t-809 was black and sexy. the t-819 looks like it's covered poo and devoid of one sexy feature.
they do have the shadow, but I think the point is that T-Mobile needs a go to phone that people *actually* want.
agreed, they also need to stop making phones in Zune-like colors that no one wants. can we get a basic black, please? thanks.
I'm with John, Samsung loving T-Mobile should definitely get a GSM/EDGE version of this phone to fill an important gap in their lineup.

A QWERTY phone that is neither Windows Mobile or Sidekick based is *exactly* what I want from T-Mobile.
That clamshell and slider are in a word... yummy.
Specific gripes:

In a nutshell, the Motorola interface is a design disaster. The fonts and icons look particularly bad and dated. Like Windows 95 dated.

I agree that the Samsung interface is usually top notch, though not always. Overall it's clean, easy to get around and the icons are designed well. It also offers a decent amount of customization.
>> people bitch and bitch and bitch about the moto software like it's the cool thing to do. Other than the crappy phonebook (Which has been fixed in Canary), what the hell are people's specific gripes? Other than it sucks or blows or ?

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
