It still looks like a calculator.
Sorry, not hot.

Not even close to hot like Danica. No contest.
You keep refering to it as the Kickstart, but they call it the Pearl in the ad.

Whatever the name, it's ugly and I'll pass. I've got a Curve on T-Mobile and I'm addicted to it. Would I love a protective flip-type cover? Probably wouldn't hurt, but QWERTY is the only way to text.
Wow. What a wildly unimpressive phone. From Nokia, yet. Those phone should be free if they are that basic. I didn't even know Nokia still made phones with 1.3mp cameras.
And a movie cross-promotion? Really? That should be popular for about 3 whole weeks.
Look like a decent first phone for a 12 year old.
If there is a God in heaven, T-Mobile will snatch this up and offer it in the US.
Please T-Mobile, please!

It wasn't a gripe or a bitch, it was much more humorous just to note that we sure got some great photos of the box when this is actually supposed to be about the phone. The web site is called "Engadget" not "En-pictures-of-boxes". But, then again, they were very clear and .....oh, I love this trendy term, "sexy"! HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!
Hey guys, come on down to the cell phone store and check out our new "sexy" boxes!!!!!!
OK, I thank you for the fair review. I know that has to be tough after reading your "open letter."
First, I have no problems with the sunken screen. I actually like that so it won't scratch when I would use the speaker phone.
Second, I definately like the new size.
But..... why the heck did they keep the menu button in the bottom right corner? Man, I hate that!
The price is a great selling feature, but Bluetooth 1.1? Come on! Palm, let's keep up with the times. The iPhone is the new benchmark for simplicity of use.
Just last month I sold my Treo 750W for a Blackberry Pearl. From what I see, this Centro will not make me leave my Blackberry Pearl at all, even thought it's very annoying to text message on it.
Wow, that's sure is an impressive BOX! Six .... count 'em, six photos of the stupid box. Who cares about the box? I see the box of a new phone for about 2 minutes before I take the phone out and toss it in to the corner for recycling. I can't beleive you guys took six photos of the stupid box! By the time I got to the pictures of the phone, I didn't really care any more.
They must have taken the picture from a Treo 750 because I get the same blurry pictures from my phone. And, yes, it's ugly which means T-Mobile will be getting it.
I really like the idea of an easy to use MP3 player on my phone. I like it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
