I'd love to have ogg/vorbis support, even if it's playable only via sideloaded media.
That'd be +tharris, of Pre Dev Wiki fame, I think. One of the lead homebrew dev's. So far the homebrew community and Palm have been playing very nice and polite together, IMO.

The hole plugged here was that apps linked to in emails would install with no security checks or even dialogs - a gaping hole with legitimate security implications and opportunity for harm to end users.

AFAIK, the Pre's still stupid easy to root and run whatever you want on, this update doesn't break that.
i7500. If Apple had busted out some OLED action on this then maaaaybe the 3GS would've won me over....
My favorite post was the news item about the air-based laser weapon inn development, which Engadget matched with a picture of the house full of popcorn from Real Genius. I laughed out loud, at my desk, when I saw that.
Pick me, please!

Could be this thing has a Poulsbo chipset, which supports that resolution: http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel/showdoc.aspx?i=3276&p=17 It's a smaller and lower-powered chipset than most netbooks, so it makes sense for a super-thin long-battery life model.
Nice post, but please.... "discrete" means "separate and distinct"; "discreet" means "subtle or confidential". Sheesh.
It's available on the m1530, too.
This would be a nice replacement for my Apex 27" mono SDTV...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
