I'm one of those mofos, well at least I want to be, I'm still contemplating buying the phone only from AT&T and calling for the unlock code or just asking at the store straight out. But I already have a Curve 8900 which is pretty much this phone sans the 5.0 OS which is OK as I've tried it and the 3G radio which Rogers doesn't deliver very good on. As for RIM I've said this a while back most new Blackberry phones are pretty much the same with tweaks here and there.

Do you know what really sucks having to pay $599.99 Cdn for the phone in Canada on no commitment and being over $100 less with tax in WA. And the irony is that Blackberry is a Canadian company. Just shows you how fleeced we get up here. I always tell people who want smart phone this: "having a smart phone in Canada isn't a smart move" .

I have a question for all Playstation 3 users in this forum, I still haven't upgraded to version 3.0 and still using the last 2.xx version. Should I upgrade to 3.0 I didn't seem to like the way it looked at all, and are there any other benefits to 3.0 other than the online gaming of course which I miss because of the 2.xx version I'm still running.

Etisalat in UAE is pretty much a life contract, but the perks are good as you can upgrade to the latest and greatest annually in the gulf-state.

Bell, Telus, and Rogers ATT can offer phones at $0 but with a 36month contract and sky high phone prices owning a smartphone in Canada isn't a smart.

I don't understand what getting this phone would do, unless you're buying it straight out on Rogers Wireless for $599 is a better deal than the $649 for the 9000. As for all the specs it's the same except you lose the 1GB of onboard memory and you get the OS memory upped to 256MB from 128MB. Currently I own an 8900 which is pretty much a Bold 9700 sans the 3G and leather backing as I'm running the current OS 5.0.

I bought a 360 awww, no wait it died and got a PS3 so it's all good. Now if I could only build a vortex to get US deliveries into Canada.

For all fan boys yes Apple computers do break down and have software corruptions you have to be stupidly naive to think not. I have actually downgraded from Snow Leopard as I deem it not ready yet.
