where does it say they switched to linux? It's all scada on solaris and they'd been running an Xwindows remote on a windows machine for some monitoring, not much chance of this windows virus doing much to an Xwindows session. the grid doesn't run windows.

they might have booted to linux to remove the virus on their windows boxen, but could have as just easily used a boot cd that the virus scanner can make.
I like my 70 it's a good 'carputer'
matt: Who do you think got the government to pass those laws in the first place ?
looks like the RX05 which is the best buy one, is a lesser motherboard, so no QC then.
hopefully a bios update will take care of that, thats whats missing, but you can still upgrade to a better cpu, maybe not the qc without a bios change
Easy to upgrade to a quad core too.
Practically every demo showing an app using btstack has the same comments, the icon doesn't work since its not apple's bluetooth stack, and it knows not of airplane mode or gui icons, the bt hardware is still there.

it'd probaly conflict with apple's stack.

you might be suprised just how many mods people make to their cars that are ,potentially, illegal, exhaust mods, cats, chips, lighting kits, engine.

I wasn't that happy with the kesington battery, its akward to use and doesn't seem to last that long. Switched to the mophie case, which has the disadvantage of making the iphone bulkier but its easier to deal with the extra pack and adds some cool lights, shame they didn't put them near the camera as superbright white leds.
Not entirely wrong, but does depend if its a CAV or CLV/Z-CLV drive. CAV drives typically read faster at the outer edge.
Transfer rate is variable on a CAV, fixed on a CLV.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
